At DuraBrite, we’re always listening to our customers and finding ways to make their boating experiences safer and more convenient. By chatting with a lot of our loyal customers, we've learned that getting on and off your boat can actually be challenging — and even hazardous — in low or no light conditions. It’s ironic, isn’t it? You have the best lights on the planet, but they’re not much help as you have to stumble in the dark just to turn them on, risking a trip or fall into the water.
Plus, why should getting on your boat be any different than getting into your car? Automakers have trained us to unlock our vehicles so the courtesy lights come on with a simple press of a keyfob. So why wouldn’t you want that same convenience and safety for your boat?
That’s why we developed the DuraBrite Remote Keyfob — a waterproof, easy-to-use, and intuitive device that ensures your DuraBrite lights guide you safely on and off your boat, not just while you're on the water. With the touch of a button, you can illuminate your path, ensuring everyone on board is safe and secure.
But there’s more. Imagine the deterrent effect when someone with ill intent approaches your boat. One press of the keyfob, and they’re caught in the spotlight with nowhere to hide. It’s not just convenient — it’s peace of mind.
This remote doesn’t stop there. When paired with the DuraBrite 2-Channel Control Box, it can control up to two DuraBrite lights. It even includes an SOS button, so you can signal for help without having to reach the switch at the console. This keyfob in your pocket could become your lifeline.
Certified by the FCC, the DuraBrite Remote Keyfob features a built-in 433MHz transceiver and boasts a transmission range of up to 300 feet. It also utilizes rolling code architecture to prevent unauthorized access and hacking attempts.
Are you ready to take command?
DuraBrite: Your Guiding Light, On Water or Ashore, Anytime, Anywhere.
Notes on Courtesy Mode:
- Besides On/Off/SOS function, the key can also activate a Courtesy mode. By long pressing L1 or L2 for 12 seconds, the lights will blink 2X to indicate the Courtesy mode is activated. An electronic timer will then count down 90 seconds, and it will blink 3X to indicate the Courtesy mode will shut off after 30 seconds. This gives you visual feedback that the Courtesy mode is operating and also warns you that light is about to shut off so you get ashore safely without tripping.
- The Courtesy mode can be canceled at any time by pressing the OFF button or the SOS button and the light will either turn off immediately or the SOS mode is activated.
