DuraBrite #SaveMaineLobstermen Campaign
When we first opened up shop here at DuraBrite, we were targeting the oil and gas industries which were facing an economic downturn, at the time. That's when, out of sheer luck, and through a friend of a friend, we met a commercial fisherman who decided to take a chance on our product and install a couple of Standard Series lights on his vessel. He absolutely loved our lights and told everyone he met how easily put halogen and high-pressure sodium lights to shame. Because the fishing community is so tight knit, word spread like wildfire, and soon we found ourselves fulfilling orders for countless other fishermen, mostly located in Maine.
Over the past 10 years, without fail, it was the support of Maine fishermen that solidified our presence in the marine industry - and we haven't forgotten it. We have gotten to know our customers on a first name basis, and as they’ve told us their stories, we further developed our products to better serve them. Today, we are proud to count these fishermen as our investment in Maine lobstermen isn't just business: it's personal.
DuraBrite would not be where we are today without Maine's lobstermen. That's why we want to reinvest in the community that invested in us. We are all in the same boat ! With this in mind, we are showing our support through a special product line dedicated to this community, to give back to the people who supported us, when the chips were down.
